Tom Eppes, APR, Fellow PRSA, chair of the PRSA Board of Ethics and Professional Standards (BEPS), and Janet Krenn, chair of the PRSA New Professionals Section, were quoted in the Fall 2010 issue of Platform magazine, a University of Alabama publication that explores issues within public relations and business communications.
In an article examining ethical concerns in regards to gossip website, Eppes noted the public’s right to accurate and truthful information, even when that news comes gossip-based media outlets, per the PRSA Code of Ethics.
Krenn was quoted in a Platform magazine article about the value of higher education for public relations professionals facing new challenges and opportunities in the digital age. Summing up results she presented in a recent blog post on the PRSA PRNewPros blog, Krenn noted that out of 32 PRSA members surveyed in a recent study, 66 percent found personal and professional satisfaction and benefits from earning their master’s degree in public relations.
